Not as good this time around!
Colbie Caillat was amazing, though! She rocked. I was not a fan of the new band as they had more of a rock feel. She played a few of her old songs but most of her new stuff was either really southern or really more geared towards the instrumental.
She said she has a new band and it definitely showed. I understand she is plugging a new album, she has to come back to the old songs that people want to hear and that gets them pumped up. We were excited for her to come back and it was a great night for a concert under the stars. This time, however, just seemed more like she was going through the motions (maybe it's the lack of sleep from her newborn!)
While I listen to Sheryl Crow because of her voice and honestly, it was hard to hear her through all of the instrumental stuff. You have got to keep the crowd into the music and the song selection seemed to be lacking. We saw Shapel Lacey - Comedian a few years ago at CMAC and she was terrific! Then you can throw in some new songs so they can hear them and then back to the old.
